What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website may send to a browser to remember technical information or support a feature. This policy distinguishes cookies from browser local storage, which is a different technology and is not a cookie.

Strictly necessary cookies

The current application uses Django and may use the following strictly necessary technical cookies only when the relevant functionality requires them:

• sessionid: maintains temporary technical browser-session state when a feature such as authentication or site messages requires it.
• csrftoken: allows Django to protect forms and requests that change data against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). It may only be set or used when a protected form or request requires it.

In production, these cookies are configured with the security attributes Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax, as applicable under the Django configuration.

Optional cookies and local storage

This application currently has no optional analytics, advertising, or affiliate cookies installed. There are therefore no optional cookies of those types to consent to in this version.

The experience’s language selection is represented by the localized URL (/es/, /ca/, /en/, or /de/) and is not stored in a cookie. Browser-managed favorites are stored in localStorage, not cookies; the interface uses the cochesmallorca-favorites key.

Third-party resources

Third-party static resources that the interface may request are not application cookies. This policy makes no specific claims about those providers’ practices and does not replace information they may publish on their own domains.

Managing cookies

You can configure your browser to block cookies or warn you before accepting them, and you can delete existing cookies from the browser’s privacy or storage settings. If you delete or block necessary cookies, features such as authentication or protected forms may not work correctly. Local storage is managed separately through the browser’s website-data controls.
